• "POOL UPDATE"
  Beginning Saturday June 28, 2025 there will be a change in lap lane usage at the Gardner Memorial pool. From 12:00PM – 4:00PM daily the first lap lane will be used for a “skills” lap lane for children aged 17 and under who wish to practice their swimming skills. It will return to an Adult only lane after 4:00pm each day. The other two lanes will remain open daily (unless the pool is closed, etc.) for adults only.
  
  This decision was based upon patron feedback and the consideration of not disrupting adults who are swimming in the lap lanes while giving others the chance to work on their swimming skills. All lap lane rules listed below should be followed by all lap lane swimmers still. If you have any questions or need clarification, please seek out the pool manager onsite who can answer questions, resolve any issues or reach out to Swimsafe, our pool management company for assistance.
  
  LAP LANE RULES
  
  1. If a lap swimmer is waiting for a lane, limit your workout to 30 minutes.
  2. Ask before entering into a lane with someone. 
  3. When possible share the lap lane (circle swim)
  4. Approved lap lane equipment: goggles, kick board, pull buoy, paddles, and fins.
  
  
• “WEATHER ALERT INFORMATION”
  
   Spring and Summer activities are getting under way for the OCC and with that comes the possibility of inclement weather conditions.  Safety within our programming is a top priority of the OCC. 
  In the event that we are experiencing inclement weather   conditions and programs have to be cancelled, we will advise everyone that is enrolled in the activity through the following methods:
  
  1)  An Email Blast will be sent to all participants enrolled in each activity that is impacted.

  2)  A Text Blast will be sent to all participants enrolled in each activity that is impacted.
  To receive a Text Notification you need to ensure your phone number is listed in the Mobile Notification section of your Member profile on MyRec.
  
  3) An alert will be posted on the Home Page of the MyRec website to advise of the cancellations.
