Camp Shafor
Here comes another fun season of Camp Shafor!  This recreational camp gives children an opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of activities including field trips, crafts, games and lots of fun!  Our Friday field trip will take us to exciting new locations each session.  You will need to plan on dropping off and picking up your child from the Friday location.  Each camper will receive an email before the start of camp with important information.  Parents will also need to fill out a participation form that is linked on MyRec.  Please fill out this participation form after registration and email to hayes@oakwoodohio.gov or turn into the Camp Counselors the first day of camp.  Please make sure you provide your email upon registration!  Space is limited so register early!

Please Note:
Parents will need to drop off and pick up children from Friday field trip locations.

Theme: Disney
Join us this week as we get to explore the wonderful world of Disney. Make sure to dress up as your favorite Disney characters for this week of camp. Campers will get to make fun Disney crafts to take home and maybe learn about some of the Disney characters they didn’t know before. You won’t want to miss out on this magical camp week!

Theme: Secret Agent
Get ready to go undercover for this week of camp. Campers will get to choose their secret code names and make their own undercover outfits for the secret agent missions. Maybe a little game of hide and seek will help campers to practice their secret agent skills during the week. You won’t want to miss out on this week of secret missions and make sure to not get caught!

Days:  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (4 Day Camp)

Theme: Mad Scientist
For this week of camp, campers will get to do all kind of experiments that are not only educational but FUN! So, bring your goggles and science lab coat because things are sure to get messy as camp counselors have different “Mad Scientist” experiments for campers to enjoy throughout the week!

Theme: Oakwood Olympics
As the 2024 summer Olympics get ready to start, join us this week at Camp Shafor to learn about some of the Olympic sports that you can watch on the Olympics this year! Campers will not only learn about some of the Olympic sports that athletes will be competing in but also get to participate in some of their own competitions to compete in for gold, silver, and bronze. Campers will get to make their own medals and learn about all the countries that will be participating in the Olympics this year. Don’t be last to register for this fun week of camp!
