Lessons will be instructed by Carlos Ruiz.  Carlos has many years of experience teaching tennis lessons to both youth and adults! He has worked at both local organizations, KTC and Five Seasons, in the past teaching lessons for many years. Carlos has also done lessons for the OCC over the last 3-4yrs. Carlos is excited to see returning faces this summer and ready to meet some new faces also this summer!
 
Youth - Ignition (Red Ball)
Our Ignition program is designed to ignite excitement for 10 and under players to the game of tennis. Our goal is to invigorate them and hopefully to help create lifetime tennis players! We want to provide sound fundamentals and teach the class within parameters created by the USTA. We use the red balls and 36’ courts for ultimate fun and development.

*There will be NO Private Lessons offered this year.

**Tennis lessons will be at the Shafor Park Tennis Courts.

Cancellations and Make-up Policy:
  • Classes will NOT be made up for classes missed for personal reasons (illness, vacation, schedule conflicts, etc.)
  • Classes will NOT be made up due to weather conditions unless availability by Five Seasons Instructors.
  • Weather cancellation notifications will be sent out through MyRec email blasts and text blasts and also will be announced on Oakwood's MyRec website.  Please make sure you have a correct email and cell number on your MyRec account!  "Please make sure to check your junk mail for any email blasts from MyRec"
Sessions are for 2 week periods and they are broken down into 2 options.  
     2 Days/Week:  If registered for the 2 Days per Week session, the participant will choose which 2 days of the session they wish to attend.  Must be within the time period for the session.  
     Unlimited Play:  If registered for the Unlimited Play session, the participant can attend as many days in the session as they would like.  Must be within the time period for the session. 

Days:    Monday - Wednesday
Dates:  Session 1 - June 2 - June 11, 2025
              Session 2 - June 16 - June 25, 2025  
              Session 3 - July 7 - July 16, 2025
              Session 4 - July 21 - July 30, 2025
Times:  8:30 A.M. - 9:30 A.M.
Fees:
2 Days/Week -  $75 (M)*, $112 (NM), $150 (NR)
Unlimited Play - $110 (M)*, $165 (NM), $220 (NR)
