Summer Olympics are coming July 26, 2024



Learn survival French in six fun and easy sessions!
This course will introduce you to the essentials of immediate communication in French.  You’ll be able to greet people, learn how to ask for directions, explain where you are from, order from a menu, know the days of the week, find out the price of various items and make purchases.

There are no exams, complex grammar explanations, difficult memorization or awkward questions in class.  The course is meant to be entertaining and instructive.

Ages:   18 and over
Day:     Saturdays
Dates: 
 June 1, 2024 - July 6, 2024

Time:   10:00 A.M. - 11:30 A.M.

Students need to purchase this book:  French in 10 minutes a day. (available on Amazon)

Instructor: Tatiana Liaugminas, M.A. in French and Russian from the University of Illinois.  She has taught a variety of courses in both languages at the university level for decades, including French cinema and theater as well as Russian and Ukrainian culture and literature.  She has supervised students on trips to Paris, Montreal and St. Petersburg, taught in the Osher Lifelong Institute, and has worked extensively in translation and private tutoring.  She is currently teaching a course on Ukrainian author Nikolai Gogol at UD.  Having spent her childhood in Casablanca--then French Morocco--and Paris before coming to the US, she has native knowledge of French.
