Ballet 1-2: Introduction to Barre (Ages 6-8)
Designed for young dancers entering first and second grades, this course focuses on the fundamental technique of our beautiful art form of classical ballet. We introduce proper use of the ballet barre and build coordination for center combinations. We encourage the joyful expression that movement inspires and of course, have fun!
Dress Code: Pink footed tights, pastel blue round neck, short- sleeve leotard (Bloch # CL5402) pink leather ballet shoes. Hair required to be in a bun. Pro Tip: All supplies are available online: blochworld.com. Ballet shoes can be properly fitted in person at Got Dance, 2210 Andrew Road.
Oakwood Ballet Overview: For Winter/Spring we are offering a “one-and-done” registration. Your streamlined registration includes 12 weeks of lessons and our Spring Performance. There is a Costume Fee of $20 due during Measurement Week on February 3, 2026. Our Performance is a low-stress high-happiness event with no additional rehearsal time required.

Spring Session: March 17, 31, April 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2026 (No lesson March 24, 2026)

Fees: $180 (M)*, $270 (NM & NR)

Open House: There will be an abbreviated Open House on February 3, 2026, during Measurement Week. Costume fee of $20 is due then. Our final Open House of the season is our Spring Performance on Tuesday April 28, 2026 at the usual lesson time. Notices will be emailed in a timely fashion.
Teacher: Miss Camille
Miss Camille was a company member of American Ballet Theatre (NYC) and holds an MFA from New York University. She is an ABT Certified Teacher in all levels and has served as a Teachers Training Course Examiner for the National Training Curriculum.
