Having spent her childhood in Casablanca--then French Morocco--and Paris before coming to the US, she has native knowledge of French.

The Game of Go for Total Beginners (Ages 12 - Adult)The Game of Go is an over 2000 year-old Chinese abstract strategy game.  It is played by placing simple, round, black and white pieces on a plain grid.  The basics of play can be taught in about five minutes with beginners enjoying playing other beginners almost immediately.  During play, the complexity and the details reveal themselves. Each session will include some instruction but there will be lots of time for play. These one day camps are designed for older campers.  Each of these mini-camps is different and allows children to try new things.  Sign up for one or all Six!Parents will also need to fill out a participation form that is linked on MyRec.  Please fill out this participation form after registration and email to hayes@oakwoodohio.gov or turn into the Camp Counselors the first day of camp.*Some of these camps are weather dependent.  No make up dates for weather cancellations.  Parents will be notified if camp is cancelled due to weather.Theme: Oakwood All-StarsGet ready to show your skills on the court and in the field! This camp will meet at Shafor park and camp counselors will have some fun sports games for campers to compete in. Campers will get to shoot some hoops, hit some home-runs, and more.
