Hodge Podge
These one day camps are designed for older campers.  Each of these mini-camps is different and allows children to try new things.  Sign up for one or all Six!

Parents will also need to fill out a participation form that is linked on MyRec.  Please fill out this participation form after registration and email to hayes@oakwoodohio.gov or turn into the Camp Counselors the first day of camp.

*Some of these camps are weather dependent.  No make up dates for weather cancellations.  Parents will be notified if camp is cancelled due to weather.



Theme: Pokémon GO
“Got to catch them all!” Join us for this camp as we explore Oakwood to search and catch Pokémon on the popular Pokémon GO app. Campers will need to have their own electronic device with the Pokémon App downloaded already. Camp Counselors will be walking campers around some of the Pokestops that are near Shafor Park.

Theme: Oakwood Explorers
This camp will meet down at Houk Stream and campers will get to explore the outdoors in Oakwood. Campers will get to go on a hike and learn about all the different plants and animals that they have in their back yard. Campers will also have a scavenger hunt to complete on their hike.

Theme: Bake-Off - Desserts
Looking to be the next big chef when you grow up? Come test your baking/cooking skills at this camp. Campers will get to make their favorite dessert dish and then we will have Oakwood Staff judge the dishes to determine a winner and will receive a prize. Make sure to print off the Bake-Off form when you register on MyRec. The camp fills up fast so make sure to sign up soon.

Theme: Water Wars
Join us for this camp to get a chance to cool down during the heat of the summer. We will have plenty of water games to participate in and prizes to give out. Feel free to bring your own squirt guns and we will also have other water games including water ballons. Get ready to be blasted with water during this fun day of camp!

Theme: Art-Antics
Time to get creative! Camp counselors will have some fun art projects to choose from and then take home to display. Make sure to dress appropriately because this camp could get a little messy making their artwork.
